Hey guys,
I want to get a copy of this great forum software!
But I have a question - data back up.
How do I perform it, and what is the best way? I would need to do it everyday.
And if disaster does strike, is it easy to upload the data and bring the forum back to before the problem?
Look forward to a reply! :)

You can perform Databackups using SSH or CPanel... I changed hosts a day ago for 2 of my site without any hiccups!!!
Looking forward to your purchase :)

Is that fairly easy process then? :)

Great advice!
Thanks alot.
I am currently deciding between Invision and vB. vB is always thought of as being more professional, though.

vB is more professional and better than Invision in every sense... The staff at invision has one of the worst attitude i've ever seen [personal experience]. Here at vB you don't get screwed up at all... Here you even get a free server tweaking [if you are on a ded] [which invision will not even do on their own hosted servers] AND you will not have to upload files everytime you make changes!!!
Trust me... Go in for vB! That will be the best investment you'll ever make in your site :)

Back in the day, I used to be an Invision boy. Loved it. Great forums, good software. But then it started going downhill. They culled the friendly staff. They restricted access. Eventually the "always free" Invision became paid - and by God has it changed over there. Staff are very unfriendly to say the least.
Forget about commenting on Invision, or getting ANY support at all. (You are most often banned for asking a question, and simply told to 'PAY FOR A COPY FOR SUPPORT').
I have looked around vB and contemplated it for a while. It will be a big step for somebody with my past over @ Invision. But I think I'm up for it!

Thanks for the support!
One last question. Paid Subscribers. Can you set it so that as soon as they pay, they get moved into a certain group, such as one called 'Paid Member'.
Is that possible? :D

That's actually done in a Scheduled Task which runs once per hour. So there may be a slight delay before they are moved over to the new group.

Yes, but if he wants it to update them at a more frequent rate, he can always make the wait shorter, like every 20 minutes.
