View Full Version : NO access for license holder?

I just tried to post in the "How do I" forum and was rejected (access denied) (two tries), dispite having purchased vBulletin and being a licensed member.
All I need is to find a way to defeat the automatic (crazy) log-out from the adminCP. I am absolutely sick and tired of having to log back in a million times a day.

Hi there,
In order to get support you must have a valid vBulletin license. Once you purchase one you will receive your customer details in an email. With those customer details you can login to the Members' Area and click on the 'Priority Support (http://www.vbulletin.com/members/membersupport_priority.php)' link in the left menu. On the page that loads you must enter the email address you registered with on this support forum. When done correctly you will show up as a licensed members and you will receive priority support.
If you do have a valid vBulletin license, I kindly request you to update (http://www.vbulletin.com/members/membersupport_priority.php) your information.
Thank you.

Sorry, I see no reason why you should shout. To repeat my kind request: If you do have a valid vBulletin license, I kindly request you to update (http://www.vbulletin.com/members/membersupport_priority.php) your information.

I have been here for 6 months and managed to post 70 times so far in the forums here. Why has my license status been changed out of the blue?

floris,
if you missed it the first time, what else can I do?

Floris didn't miss anything. He told you what you need to do to correct this.
As for 'why now', the only way this could have happened is if your changed your forum email address or someone removed that address from the Prioreity Support form. That someone would need to have your license info to do this.

I do not require "Priority Support", but access to the support FORUM. There is nothing wrong with my registered email address as I am receiving post notification from THIS forum.
If you continue to deny me access to the support forum, you may be in breach of contract according the sales agreement we have.

Priority Support is access to the support FORUM.
Go here (http://www.vbulletin.com/members/membersupport_priority.php) and enter your e-mail. If it is already there, then submit the form anyways. What is so hard about that?

Priority support includes both the forums and members area access tickets, If for some reason the info is correct both in the support area and here in the forums please create a ticket in the members area so it can be corrected asap.

Unlicensed members (or members with a vBulletin forum who do not show up licensed to the staff) are not able to get support.
In order to get support you must enter the email address you use on this forum in the priority support input field. If you prefer not to that you simply will not get permission to post on the support forums. The alternative is to go inside the members area, click on 'contact us' and issue a new support ticket if you require free support.
To show up on these forums as a licensed customer you simply have to do what everybody with a license has to do. We explained this more then once.
