phpBB2 Importer question

I am in the process of getting a second seat of vb. this one would be to convert my phpbb2.06 to vb. it worked fine on the test board( my licence version)

but now due to all the problems with phpbb2 I need to upgrade to the new version 2.0.11

will the importer still work for this version? or is it just for version 2.06? which works nicely BTW.

I need about 8-10 more days before I am ready to make the switch to VB.

Yes, the phpBB converter will work on 2.0.11. There aren't any database changes that prevent the converter from working properly.

A few additional questions on this thread:

1) Does the Importer work with the phpBB v.2.0.3 database schema?

2) How about additional custom tables, does it bring them over?

I'm not sure if it works for that version; you can just run the upgrade scripts to get to 2.0.11 (which you should do either way as there are serious security vulnerabilities in versions prior to that version).

And the importer only does a standard phpBB installation; if it were to do any custom tables it'd make the converter too hard to maintain.
