Hey I was just wondering. Say you have version 2.0. Someone said that once you have a owned license you dont have to pay $30 each year to upgrade to the newest version. Say I have version 2.0. (which I don't). Say in 1 year vBulletin 4.0 comes out. Would I have pay just $30 to upgrade from 2.0-4.0 or $60 to upgrade from 2.0-3.0 then 3.0-4.0?

Allthough that's a rather bad example, you would only pay US$ 30 with the current system.

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in the vBulletin forum software.

Each license type comes with 12 months download access, after those 12 months you can't download the files anymore.

For the owned license you can keep running vBulletin, and at any time, whenever you require 12 more months download access, you can purchase 12 more months for $30.

Version 2.0 is really outdated, insecure and would definitly require an update. (But as you said yourself, you don't have it .. so that was probably just used as example) At this time the latest stable releases are version 2.3.5 and 3.0.3.

We are looking forward to your purchase.
