I love vbulletin, it has so much more feature than ubb, it will make every ubb drool:)

Suggestions:)

-continue to add users hacks, it makes every one happy then:)

-Will you be working more on the profile side of things?, add more fields etc?, it will be so cool to have a site wide profile.

Not too keen on the 'Biography', why not have a new field in the database for each one of these?.

Keep up the great work!!

While I am still getting used to it, I have to agree vBulletin does have some nice features that are still lacking in UBB.

I couldn't agree with this more... vBulletin is still a young product compared to UBB, but adding the best add-ons and enhancements from the user community will sure help make this the best fourm software out there. Of course, the new features should be flexible enough so they can be used in different ways... and with control panel options to turn them on/off.

Some features that I would really like to see in the future are: (in no real order of priority...):

Mutt's UBB Code buttons / spell checker (although the format of this can certainly be made a little more presentable.... but it sure makes it easy to use vB codes)
Active threads (yes I saw there is a hack for this, but this should be standard, I think).
News display (Basically a modified fourm display that will display the latest post in a column on the left hand side, and links to all the older threads on the right. I am not sure if you can do this with templates or not, but I have found this layout pretty effective for news and annoucements).
File attachments (with control panel configuration, this is essential for my site).

I actually like this idea, it makes this field more flexible and users can pretty much put whatever info in there they want.

Anyway, keep up the great work :)

the idea for admin created profile fields is being thought out for a future version.

it's a great idea, but it's hard to make "idiot" proof so that people just starting out with BB programs can do it as easily with as little chance for error as possible.
