What's the return policy? I'm getting no response on the board or through email.

rangersfan,
It is new software - you're always gonna get problems until the bugs are worked out of the system. If you didn't want bugs, you shouldn't have jumped in at version 1.1.1!

Hopefully the reason that shoe is getting no response is that John is busy squishing them right now! (though I have to say that a little more time really must be spent on customer relations occasionally...)

I am a fairly happy user of the software and am not about to return it. BUT I do think jelsoft need to get their act together in terms of responding to e-mail.

A few weeks ago it took like 10 days for me to get an e-mail from James (the product manager does not need to be squishing bugs!).

Well, hopefully they seem to have enough licenses sold to atleast hire an intern to wade through e-mail and issues to make sure that urgent ones get attention quickly and the rest atleast get a response saying that "we're looking into this and expect to get back to you in xx hours/days".

On the other hand I remember getting excellent response time from that perl board we all seem to love to hate! :)

P.S. Did I forget to say that I'm a happy user of the software? :)

I am also a happy user of the software and am not about to return it. It is an awesome product that already far exceeds any other forum program out there.

I'm running 1.1.2 and made a few patches to fix some of the known bugs. My board now runs better than it EVER did with UBB. My users and I have been extremely happy with the change over to vB.

Even thought John can be slow to respond to support requests. Other users have come though with fixes for nearly every problem I've come across.

Thanks again for a great product!

I also am happy as hell I ran across this software. My forums have ran faster than ever, and I have seen a 1/4 more page views (almost instantly with the switch).

I am really happy every day I switched!

I love the software too but I wonder about the support.

I am going to pick up a php book so I can start fixing bugs that aren't getting any responses.

Maybe it's changed since I just started and it's 1.1.3 (or whatever) already, but I've had great email support from the group here.

Thank you for my new toy (and if I get the features I need for my business - my new community)

I like vb, but there are many bugs and I feel there should be better response. Going more than a whole week with no email response and no response to my bug report was not right. I paid 160 and think I should get a little attention especially the first few weeks after purchase.
