Hi All,

currently i'm running a forum on vBulletin for which i have no other access rights than moderating it (the board will be maintained by a provider). For several reasons (server failures, lost threads, etc.) i want to go ahead with an own vBulletin installationon my own server. Unfortunately the provider is not willing to provide me a database dump.

I'm wondering if there is any possibility to parse the board threads automatically to convert and save them to a text file to re-import it into my new vBulletin.

Any help is strongly appreciated!

Thanks in advance

Martin

To get vB support on these forums you first need to be a licensed customer and register for Priority Forum Support. To do this, please go here:

http://www.vbulletin.com/members/membersupport_priority.php

...and enter your email address in one of the boxes. You'll need to have your customer number and password to access the page.

If you still have problems after doing this, send an email to support@vbulletin.com. Please include your user name, the email address you registered with and your customer number so we can fix the problem.

Once you've done this, please post in the appropriate support forum for your version.

P.S. If you are not the license owner, you will need to have the owner do this for you to give you access to the support forums.

Mhhh...that's interesting. Of course i don't want to spent money for a product before it's clarified that it is usable for me. So if there is a solution for my problem i'll buy a software license.

Thanks

The thing is:

currently i'm running a forum on vBulletin

You are already running vBulletin without paying for it. Buy a license now or face legal action. Piracy is a crime.
