Hi,
I have just imported a vb3 board into mine, now I can't access anything within it, I closed the forum before I started and now when I try to login to the admin panel I get the message that I am not registered. When I was half way through importing users I got the attached error message.
thanks

The first thing I recommend is that you reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server.

Hi,
still cannot access anything, is there any other steps to follow?

I'm afraid that if you got an error saying your user is not registered, then that's exactly what it means. The error during the import must have caused a proboem.
Did you make a backup of the database prior to doing this import? If so, I suggest restoring that backup and trying again.

Hi Steve,
I did make what I thought was a backup, unforunately I have multiple domains and databases, and I downloaded the wrong one, is there any other way I can resolve this situation?

There's not much that can be done about the missing accounts. What you can do is register a new account. Then upload the tools.php script in the DO_NOT_UPLOAD folder of the zip file to your Admin CP directory. Use this to promote your user to Admin, then immediately remove this script.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the answer, I lost most of my users, but was able to recover a lot of them from the other forum I am running :) Learnt an important lesson though, always backup before you mess around with the database.
