New licence to test forum

I have just sent payment for a second vb owner licence. Subject to payment conformation, can I then use the new licence to go live with my test forum (1st licence) that I have used as a test platform for my new forum. Or will I have to upload a new vb forum? :)

I believe you will have to upload the files for your second license instead of using the ones from your test forum as vB imbeds your license number in each of the files. They want to make sure that each set of public files has a unique license number for piracy protection. If you have hacked the test forum's files and you don't want to lose those modifications, you could always find and replace all instances of your first license number with the second one.

Thanks for that prompt and helpful reply daemon. I guess I may have to upload a new set of files then, as it may be quicker than finding and replacing all the instances of my first license number with the second one.

You could have still used your first licence for a test forum as long as it's not accessible by the public.
