i lost my admin access !!

i tried ton import users from phpbb and got an error message from mysql

but after i tried to log in admincp as admin i saw that my id and login was deleted from vb_user table !

now i have a forum but without any admin

how can i create an other admin acess ? i cannot login into admincp !

sign up a new account on your site as normal.

make a note of the userid number by hovering your cursor over the username in the 'who's online' section.

Now go into your phpmyadmin and in the users table locate that userid

Change the usergroupid for it to 6.

Now edit your config.php file to make that userid a superadministrator (It's easy to find) by locating the appropriate section and putting the userid number in between the '' there.

Upload the new config.php file

You should now be able to log into the admincp with that user.

You will need to go to Administrator permissions and set your permissions to all yes so that you have full admin control panel access. To do this go into edit user (expand all menus as it makes it easier to find). You need to search for the username first. You should have a red link at the top talking about administrator permissions. This is where you need to go to edit them.

If however this doesn't work (I see no reason why it shouldn't though) then raise a support ticket via your members area and one of the vBulletin staff will sort it out for you.

You can use tools.php to enter the userid to restore admin access to a vb3 forum.

Importing from phpBB into vBulletin 3 doesn't get your admin userid removed.
