Hi all. I'm working on a style for my community once we finally upgrade to vb3. Currently I've only mocked it up in my image program, and before I go crazy in coding it, I was hoping to get feedback from the experts here.
What are your impressions? The community revolves around web-based entertainment -- i.e. websoaps, webcomics, online fiction, RPGs, etc. -- so I'm going for a sleek and modern but not too "techno" feel. Ideally there'd be a bit of warmth to the place, y'know? :) Is the attached design draft anywhere on the right track? Do the colors work well? I want to use a scheme that looks somewhat related to our current one (first link in my sig), but with a fresh, more varied range of colors.
Anyway, all ideas on making things look more original, interesting, friendly and/or professional would be very, very welcome. Many thanks!
