Seems like my Photoshop 6.0 is not able to open the buttons from the vB3 Graphics Development Kit with text on it. The error message says that I do not have enough memory.

But I can open other big images and the error occurs also with the smallest GDK-images containing text. I can open the images without text flawlessly. Maybe I do not have the correct font? Can somebody tell me which font is used on the buttons. And maybe where I get that font?

And another inquiry - mainly for Zachery:
Would it be possible to get the psd-files for the buttons used in the additional styles? At least the buttons with text such that we can translate them into other languages? At the moment I would net the buttons for the greenish style.

Thanks,
Hannes

There are incomaptlibty issues with PS6 and the GDK images. All the images i make are from the stock templates and i use vButton CS to make them, so i dont have the recolored images either.

Thanks! I just read about this incompatibilities too. One reason more to go for Photoshop CS. Actually I only wanted to update to 7.0 as this can be bought relatively cheaply on ebay.

If you own a license to Photoshop 6 you can upgrade for about half the cost of a full install if not abit less.

Two tipps if one changes the text on the buttons:

Open the layered template with the text buttons and set the alignment of the text to center (instead of left). Then move the text to the correct position (a bit to the right, use the shift key to keep the vertical position). This solves most problems with possible length difference between the original text and your text.

For users with German Photoshop CS: Remove the decimal digits (after the dot) in the font size textbox of vButton3 CS. The German Photoshop ignores the dot and therefore renders the text much too big. A comma is not allowed in the size textbox.
