Hello,
I have seen "******* - powered by vBulletin" on every page of a site which runs vB. So can we remove this part? So its looks some thing like " Site Name - Site Slogan " instead of " Site Name - Site Slogan - powered by vBulletin ".

Thanks.

Edit your forumhome template and find the word 'powered' in-between the <title></title> tags and change all this to <title>$vboptions[bbtitle]</title>

Well I am asking that "removing of this text from the title is allowed or not?". I am not asking that how can I remove that.

You can remove that text in the title area, but not the footer.
To remove the title area, go
ACP => Style Manager => <<>> for the style you want to edit

in Forum Home Templates \ FORUMHOME:
Replace:
<title><phrase 1="$vboptions[bbtitle]">$vbphrase[x_powered_by_vbulletin]</phrase></title>
With:
<title>$vboptions[bbtitle]</title>

Cheers.

oops, you're right, H75, I didn't read it clearly...
(its 05:36 and I haven't slept yet >.<)

You can edit that following the above procedures, yes. However, you cannot rebrand it. For example, you can say "Site Name - welcome to our world" or something alike; however, you cannot say "Site Name - Powered By something other than vBulletin". Of course, the ultimate decission resides with Jelsoft; if you think something may cause your license to void, please check with them in advance before doing it.

A slightly easier method would be modify the global phrase "x_powered_by_vbulletin" and change the translation to be just "{1}" (without the quotes), that way you don't have to change the template for each of your styles. :p

Or is that actually written out...?

No, the footer is contained in a phrase named "powered_by_vbulletin" without the "X_" in the front of it. Changing the "X_powered_by_vbulletin" will just affect the stuff that says "{your forum name} - Powered by vBulletin" like the browser display. Just make sure you change the "X_..." one and you should be fine.

Damn handy to have 2 phrases, saves a lot of trouble and makes it easier.

In order to get permission to remove the footer one could pay a branding free -fee of $120 per license.
