Suggestion: Avatars in Registration Form

I think avatars should be availble to choose from in the registration form, when a user is signing up.... especially for the boards that have avatars set up like that

They have to go to their profile and do it manually later?

That's not bad...I think the registration form allready got too many options...I may make most options on registration hidden so they can define them when they're registered...

When users have to fill in too many options to register it may hold them from registering

Not to mention most sites use them as a bonus for attaining x number of posts.

I too am redoing my sign-up form to eliminate a lot of the options and will present them with basic choices. Then in their welcome email, I will explain how they can turn on or off the more advanced features as they go along.
