I'm a sell-out of UBB:( but I'm damn proud of it!

I've been using UBB for many years now and constantly upgrading it to make it work better and not to mention the countless hacks I've installed for it. Back then I didn't know that PHP existed and my whole website was centralized around perl and cgi applications. However I had the chance to hear about Vbulletin, purchased it in an effort to get used to PHP and proceeded to check it out by installing on my server, and boy I was shocked by the features it comes with! So I said goodbye to my dear UBB and although I'm sure Vbulletin took some ideas from UBB like many other boards but Vbulletin has definitely surpassed UBB in everyway and for me it is time to move on to a better service than UBB and I found my home here.

Here's a 'me too'! vBulletin is absolutely fantastic and I know my members are going to love it when I make the final switch from UBB.

I used to despise adding hacks to ubb to get the built in functionality of vbb2 and the the less said about UBB's search feature the better :)

I never really used UBB either. I used to be a moderator on a board that used it, and so I was familiar with it. But I never took the time to actually set it up on my site. I hate chmoding. So I never did it.

I love vBulletin since theres more features, faster, cheaper, less space, and no chmoding.

I just don't know why I didn't switch sooner. vB is just better than UBB in every concievable way. I have found nothing in UBB that I prefer over vB... not a damn thing. I can't think of any other software I can say this about.

vB just flat out trounces UBB.

i was about to buy a ubb for my site when i found this place.

i hated vb1 but it is so much better now, even ikonboard is better than ubb now. congrats on having the best boards around.
