Search Features

I notice that most other bulletin boards give the option of searching message text along with the message titles. Similar to this:

It seems like a very basic feature. As far as I know, vBulletin does not search the forum title AT ALL.. Does anyone know a reason for this? Will it be in a future release? I am actually considering changing Bulletin Boards because of this. I am building an investment website where I need to search the forum titles which will contain the stock symbols (MSFT, IBM, etc) so a person can type MSFT and go directly to the Microsoft message board.

Actually if you read the threads on the Search engine and the changes recently made you would see that this had been put in because of popular demand.

I just saw the thread about the new search that talks about the following new features:

>You can specify an * to do wildcard matching.
>You can now search in just thread titles if you want.
>You will notice a search in Titles Only checkbox.

Are these features currently available in beta 2? I've never seen a "search in titles only" checkbox...

anyone know if the "search in titles only" check box will search BOTH forum titles AND thread titles?

only thread titles....(why would you wanna search in forum titles?)
