Hello,

This isn't a license question, because I would be using a second domain to point to the same exact board, so I know that's ok. It's more of a technical question.

Lets say I have a forum at www.mydomain.com/forums (http://www.mydomain.com/forums)

And I use the add-on domain feature of cpanel to point the domain www.myforums.com (http://www.myforums.com) to the subdirectory /forums.

Do you know if I can then use www.myforums.com (http://www.myforums.com) to refer to my board, so that for instance, myforums.com/memberlist.php would now be my member list. And when someone navigates within vbulleting the new domain would now show in the URL.

Has anyone done this. I'm afraid to try it, because I fear that by setting up an add on domain, I might screw the board up, because it might inserts files and folders into the directory that will overwrite important vbulletin files.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Sam

I just did something exactly like this for my test forum.

Yes you can do that. Yes it should work. Yes the URLs to things like memberlist.php should change appropriately. Yes the new domain should appear in the URL.
