View Full Version : Thread read count overhead?

Does the fact that VB shows the number of times a thread has been read mean that no static HTML is being stored?

If so surely there must be a huge overhead in making the
whole thing dynamic - or am I missing something?

PS - is VB 1.1.2 Final, stable or whatever John is calling it - I am confused about releases here?

When is the free version out and will it be easy to upgrade from that to the real version? I only want to prove it works before purchasing it.

Any risk of UBB V6 leapfrogging VB in terms of features?

There are no html pages stored it is all dynamic.

There is some overhead from it, but this is a database driven application which still excels over some comparison products. It is also dynamic, which means never having to run any of those server killing processes such as updating threads, etc, etc...

It still has some bugs in the 1.1.2, but the version up now does have a lot of bug fixes over the first versions of 1.1.2.

John has said it would be fairly soon, but there is no release date specified as of yet.

Being a long time UBB owner and license holder, I can say that I doubt that will happen. This is much more in line with their Open topic product (which is still in development) than the UBB.
