I looked at your demo and a few websites using Vbulletin already. My question is how do you as a Admin or Moderator know when new posts are happening?

I ask this as I use Invision Powerboard but I currently have become quite interested in Vbulletin by the apparent availability of cool hacks and skins available.

But I want to be able to see when I'm on the board when someone posts to a thread or makes a new topic so I can instantly or one of the moderators can instantly go look and respond. I see that you have a notify this person by email but I don't want to have to keep my email client open the entire day so I can see if some is posting or not. I see that you have moderate the posts for approval but nothing along the lines of moderate this forum by notifying this person/s by popup, pm, or whatever.

IF this exists and I just don't see it please let me know.

Also is there somewhere I can look to see what Hacks or addons are available to this software. A kind of these are the best and coolest of the addons place?

Thanks,
Mav

You can see new posts by clicking the "Quick Links" menu open in the navigation bar and selecting "New Posts." This will search for all new threads and posts since your last visit.

As far as hacks (mods) you can go to vB.org (http://www.vbulletin.org) to find the official hacking site.

Hmmm, the site I went to doesn't seem to have that option. Is this an admin only control? I found that option here on the demo. I was hoping of something like a Admin/Moderator type box or something that was a little easier. That's not to bad though.

I wish a seperate popup box version was available for Vbulletin like on Invision board. It does make life way easy.

I'll head over to that vb.org site and check it out. Maybe someone has done something like this and I would'nt miss Invsionboard so much. I get Invisionboard free with my current host so paying for Vbulletin I wanna make sure the cost out ways all the new features I'll gain.

Thanks,
Mav
