Hi,

I have a test running on my apache 2.0.40 webserver, with mysql backend.

all this is running on VMWare ESX server.

The problem I have is that everything works, and most of the time, speeds are fine. But I get really bad performance when I post a message or reply. It can take up to a couple of minutes sometimes, but at other times, it's just fine, and goes on right away. If I abort posting the message, it will be there anyway, so why does it take so long?

I think my problem may be related to apache configuration, or perhaps mysql. Just can't figure out why it works one time, and then it fails.

Anyone have a suggestion?

How do you have a test running? We do not give test instances, nor do we have a free downloadable test version. I suspect you downloaded vBulletin as a 'warez' version. Please remove it instantly- running vBulletin unlicensed breaks our copyright, ofcourse we can't provide support for it.

We have no known issues with apache 2.

I had it floating around somewhere, I'm a lousy cleanup :)
I actually did have a test running, but it was a very old copy. Removed it already; it didn't work properly.

I have to admit though, I *was* looking for a warez version to test, but I couldn't find one that would install.

Suppose I bought a owned license, would you guys be able to help me sort out this problem? I still think it's related to apache. And would it give me the right to run VBulletin 3 until the end of days? Even if it were on another subject, of course with only one instance running at a time?

I am working on a website about ponds... there's many people with questions about this subject. I'm not sure if I'd buy VBulletin, it's a lot of money to spend for a hobby that is already expensive...
