Is there a chart defining server vs. users?

I was curious if there is a chart/guide somewhere that compares active users server wide vs. what size/spec server you would need to handle things?

no chart as vB users online is not accurate as to tell the whole story as to server(s) load due to the variable of cookie timeout and member/guest ratio and what else application wise is being used on the same server as the vB forum
