Email problem in vb2.0 beta 2

Hi,

I have vb2.0 beta 2 installed, when I tested the registration, no email is actually sent to the registrant.
what happened? something i missed?
I'm hosted on dedicated server IIS5.

your mailserver isn't set up correctly in php.ini

you need to go in there and set the proper location for your mailserver. check with whoever you have your server through and they probably have a dedicated mailserver for use by everyone.

I get a similar problem. Since upgrading from V1.1.4 to 1.1.5 a few weeks ago, it appears that some new user emails go out and some do not.

I've just upgraded to V1.1.6 and it seems even less go out now.

Any ideas?

I'm thinking of a change I made not too long ago limiting open relays on my mail server but the server containing the forum is allowed to send email - and besides, some emails do end up being sent successfully.
