Few small problems from vB 2.3.5 -> 3.0.3

Hey..

great job on the new vB guys... :D
and this import tool seems like it's going to make importing a breeze....

heres my problem when i was using the tool..

it seems it imports the users and the info from the vB2 data.. and just lists them in order in the new vB3 database.. well i have deleted members in the past and such.. and the new user database shows different userids for every member..

now this is a problem because i have assigned different moderators to different forms, and i assume thats stored in the database by userids.. and now people i haven't even heard of are moderators of different threads because of this :eek:

is it just me doing something retarted?
or is it something that you guys can iron out?

Can i ask why you didn't do an upgrade from 2.3.5 to 3.0.3? Or was this an import to an already existing 3.0.3.

The vbulletin 2 importer is in beta at the moment so there is expected to be a few small bugs, though the users imported from vb2 should have got new userids so it shouldn't have caused a problem.

Is it moderator or thread starter which is showing the wrong name?

I created a fresh instance of 3.0.3 in a different folder. I didnt want to upgrade because i have to re-write many of the styles that i have already written for 2.3.5, and i wanted to work out any bugs/glitches and make sure everything worked right before i went over to the new version. Plus, i thought the idea to add the prefix vb_ was a great idea.. my database is a mess...

What i did was went into "Forums & Moderators" -> "Forum Manager" and listed under the Moderators drop down are all sorts of users that i never assigned as moderators. The thread starter has seemed to work fine, as it seems the the thread owners are all correct.
