Hi.

I'm probably going to be importing an Invision Board V2 to my vBulletin 3.0.1 Firstly, will the importer work with Invision V2?

Secondly, if the importer does work with Invision V2, Will I be able to import the data from this into my vB without overwriting any data on my vB?

And lastly, will the importers work with modified boards without any damage?

No it wont, we dont currently have an invision 2.0 importer at this time, however we do need test data for it.

The importers should work with modified boards granted they can find all the default information, however we cannot ensure that it will.

No there isn't a IPB 2.0 importer yet, though if you have a board that needs converting I will be starting on one very soon and need test data for it.

Yes, it only EVER inserts it dosn't overwrite, with the exception of custom avatars in certain situations.

An importer will only EVER select from a source database and as long as the origional schema is there, even if it has been extended and the data is there it will work. If the data has been moved there will lightly be issues.

I do have a board that needs converting, but I need to do it as soon as possible so I'm gonna switch it back to 1.3 and use the importer already available. I could upgrade it again though afterwards if you wish to use it for whatever reason in the future.

A copy of the version 2 board database would be helpfull, thank you.

I'm on holiday for a few weeks though, so no rush :)

Sorry, by a copy do you just mean a backup of the database so you can restore it on your test board, or did you mean something else?
