Good morning,
Where could I find a complete reference for modifying the template groups? I need a comprehensive list of what exactly all the template groups will actually modify.
Thanks. :)

Thanks for the quick reply. I think I'll be ok. I've just migrated from IPB (yesterday as a matter of fact). I had their templating system completely figured out from 1.3.
I'm just sitting around here muddling through the massive amount of templating bits. Is there a way to perhaps view larger portions of the templates instead of editing bit by bit by bit by bit?
Since I have your attention, one quick question. If I wanted to edit the forum home page, such as the category row and the forum rows below it, would that be (gonna copy and paste):
forumhome_forumbit_level1_nopost
forumhome_forumbit_level1_post (http://www.r7designer.com/community/admincp/template.php?do=add&dostyleid=2&title=forumhome_forumbit_level1_nopost&group=all)
forumhome_forumbit_level2_nopost
forumhome_forumbit_level2_post (http://www.r7designer.com/community/admincp/template.php?do=add&dostyleid=2&title=forumhome_forumbit_level2_nopost&group=all)
?
I assume level1 is the category row and level2 would be the forum rows?
Thanks!

Level1_nopost is a category template
Level1_post would be if the top level forum is a forum and not a category
level2_nopost is a category template if the child forum is a category
levle2_post is a child forum that is just a forum and not a category
Sorry i didnt reply quicker ISP went out on me :/

Thank you, that helps. Is there perhaps an available xml style import file for the original vb3 style? I'm really looking for a way to view and edit the board templates more efficiently as opposed to one small bit at a time. I've tried exporting the default but it only exportes the changed portions (which is pretty minor).
One more question :) How could I edit the CSS as a file and not using the cp style manager?
My ISP was cutting out on me moments after I installed vb yesterday, it was driving me nuts. I know the feeling.

You really cant, if your storing CSS as files, any time you update the CSS it would save over it.
