One of my personal sites is now upgraded to 3.5.0 RC2 with several plugins and vBAdvanced CMPS installed. It is a "Guild/Clan" website for City of Heroes.

Finished basic upgrade of a customer to 3.5RC2 from a heavily modified 3.0.1 last week.

Board is running on 2 dual Xeon servers (webserver/databaseserver, some other small sites run from them), and the servers where not performing at all before the upgrade, mostly due to modifications.

All mofications have been disabled now, and we are still on the process of cleaning up the (database) mess.

Until now there have been only 2 new modifications installed (both as products without fileedits) and for the time being using teh default Style:
- Custom Adsense code after each first post.
- Sigmachat

Even though most members are not very computer savvy the upgrade and the use have been without any major problems. Speed has been improved drastically.

I just upgraded my board at www.sandrabullockcentral.com from 3.0.6 to 3.5.0 RC 3 after extensevily testing it on our test machine. The board has no real modifications except that I integrated the 4images and vBulletin user database (more than 6000 users) so the vB accounts work with 4images as well (see Pictures link in the menu). The board also has around 9 GB of attachments stored on a seperate hard disk.

I could not believe the number of improvements made this time and I hope all to the good. So far I have only found one glitch that I hope to get worked out. But that will be posted on another thread. It did take about 4 times longer to update then it did with prior updates.. :(

Correct. You cannot make test forums public. This would be a violation of the license agreement.

Actually you might want to go into a little more description that just that. They can post a link to it, so that people can view it, just not having the forum functions active, right? What would be the point of having a test forum if you can't let other people see it? I mean, what if I have a test forum that i'm using to make a template for my active forum? I'd like to ask people if they like that template first before I port it over. Is this legal?

Actually you might want to go into a little more description that just that.

If you have a valid licence, you may set up an additional test forum in order to test code, template and database modifications. To make this clear to us and our licence verification procedures, place it in a directory called 'testvb' and be sure to password protect it. It must not be accessible by the general public.

I migrated from PHPBB, with very little difficulty. I've added my own mods, mainly an editorial or "blog" system. I also added navigation to the header. If you navigate to the categories, you can see that blog entries are associated with a given category... I'm pretty proud of that! I'll do something similar for technical articles.

I also integrated phpAdsNew... very simple to do, actually.

I'm working on a custom homepage that will feature the blogs and latest forum threads via the RSS2 syndication.
