I am working on a bulletin board for our club.

I am almost done. Need to do some more tweeking and button work but I just didn't want to do too much with 3.0 coming out. I don't know what templates will need to be adjusted... It is sad to be in the dark for so long. I still haven't gone live with one I started nearly a year ago. It has the portal but I am thinking of removing it in favor of the same type of scheme as the newer one...

well, my DVD site is finally open... and it's only taken 3-4 years (from initial concept to graphic design to testing period to web design and finally to stocking). when you have a full time job, a wife and four kids, it takes longer to finish projects of this magnitude.

so here it is.

it is a site devoted to DVD and entertainment news.

this site has two selectable styles, SimpleSepia (which is a simple design which downloads quickly, and expands to screen size) and FullMoon (a sleeker style which takes a little longer to download, and is set to a fixed width. it also employs a very nice sliding menu, however on slower computer systems this menu is, well, slower).

there are well over a hundred hacks and template mods on the site, courtesy of the fine folks at vbulletin.org and vbulletintemplates.com. the postbit for the FullMoon style was built from scratch, literally scanning in the paper and paperclip. all graphics are original and were created by myself, with the exception of the mood smilies created by Darkshines, and the forum icons for the FullMoon style were created by iHCF.

the entire site is powered by vBulletin. there are over twenty off-forum pages, most of them courtesy of vBindex by NTLDR. this hack has been moddified quite a bit. the SimpleSepia style for these pages is the traditional 3 collumn arrangement, however the FullMoon is designed from scratch.

In the forum home category of templates, he edited level1_nopost, and placed the forum id variable rightbefore the on/off variable.gif

Your forums look fine, except in my gecko based browser, your links are showing up as default bright blue, which makes them hard to read. you might wish to check your css for errors? I'm pretty sure you didn't mean for that to be the colour of your links.
And if you did mean it to be, I would recommend changing it. Looks nice otherwise.

MANY MANY ERRORS!

This past week has been a nightmare with my site, basically its vBulletin vs my host in whose to blame, they are both pointing fingers but no one has resolved the issues. I've been working for 3 days straight just to get the site running, my host is trying to see if he puts up the last backup from a week ago, if it'll work... He tried yesterdays backup but that didn't work.

Nothing is working lol, this sucks. I've worked soo hard on my site (and I'm not good with computers) for the last few years and now it comes to whether or not my backup will work.

what i do to get colours that work with each other is get a screenshot of one that works.. then edit the screenshot.. like take a screenshot of this purple layout.. then go into photoshop and do color balance on it.. and make it an equally mild form of blue.. the greys will go grey blueish and everything looks blue.

Is there a problem with your site, I just registered, it came up with My Array at the top the page with the name of the usergroup.

But seriously, how does it look?You've done something that I asked for nearly three years ago! The use of the right margin is better than placing it on the left side (as so many have done).

In English reading countries, the eye reads from left to right and rests on the right for additional information. Had you placed your links on the left margin, the eye would still be looking to the right for additional info. (Ask the advertising gurus - or just look at Time Magazine and you will see why the right page is most sought after).

My board is General disscussion.

I try to keep it consevative, and light hearted, but there is currently

Now currently running our lite skin by default after we just switched to vB3.0 RC2 last night as our heavy skin would have taken too much time. :p

New style/skin is now in the works however that will be our default skin once it's done. Medium-heavy header, super quick loading/lite content area. A real nice hybrid, watch for it soon folks! In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the place and thank you to all those who have supported us!

1) Did you get permissions to use Everaldo's icons? Especially without even a mention in the credits?

2) Did you actually ask the folks over at WebHostingTalk if using their domain on a *.de would be okay? I'm not too sure, but I'm thinking it's trademarked. In any case, it really takes away from the potential, since most everyone in the hosting business knows about WebHostingTalk, and the knock-off factor is pretty big.
