On vBulletin.org I've found this hack (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=59859&page=1&pp=15) that pretty much sums up what I need to do.
I do not want guests to be able to access the showthread template. It's fine for me if they look at the various forums lists of threads, but I do not want them to be able to access the threads themselves. I don't mind them getting the preview of the first message by hovering on the thread title (which is something the aforementioned hack inhibits).
Now... is it possible to do this through template conditionals or not?
