Stop Quicktime from playing Flash

I've got Quicktime installed and Firefox keeps playing Flash in it instead of the actual Flash plugin I've got from Macromedia. In the preferences "MIME Types", I've disabled flash (actually, everything) but it still plays in Quicktime!

Very annoying!

Try reinstalling Flash as provided by Macromedia and it may (annoyingly, but useful in this situation) update all references to point to its version instead of QuickTime.

That didn't work. So I just reinstalled FF. To my delight, everything was preserved, favs, cookies -- everything :D
