all was working fine, until i restarted and opened firefox. it's ok until i try to go to an URL then it comes up with an error.

at exactly the same time i get a "netscape quality feedback agent". i don't know if this caused the error, or appeared because of it.

but the exact same thing happened before i formatted the other day.

I'm going to try re-sinatll it again, but it didn't work last time so i doubt it will this time.

anyone else having this error?

(firefox .9)

i don't want to be stuck with IE again :(

Heh, typical. a re-install worked this time :P

The quality feedback agent would have popped up because of the error not creating it. They have implemented this new feature as a way to track down bugs.

I installed .9 and it sucked. It worked for a few minutes then died. Then it continued to throw an error on startup and send those QA messages everytime. Tried a re-install and it occured again. So we threw it away and went back to .8.

The release was buggy but I linked to in another thread the official firefox support forums which offers solutions (in pinned topics) to all the problems people like yourself were having noppid :)

Thanks Dean, I didn't research it. I'll check out the forums though.
