Wayne, I'm a potential customer who's tried to email and PM you, but you've not replied. Not all of my questions are appropriate for public discussion, hence the (attempted) private contact.

What am I doing wrong?

thanks

J

Have you tried contacting us at sales@vbulletin.com?

Some of my questions are specifically directed at Wayne. Shall I email there and make the subject title "For Wayne Luke"?

I've tried IM'ing here and emailing him via his profile to no avail.

Hmm.. I answered your previous email from you the day you sent it to me. Did you not receive it? I will resend my reply.

I don't track PM's here by the way so the chances are simply that I haven't had time to read it yet.

nope, never received, but I just did receive your resend. thanks.

I'm assuming there's a way to make the reply subject title default to the subject title of its parent, correct?

I'm assuming there's a way to make the reply subject title default to the subject title of its parent, correct? You can probably do this by template edits. Or a switch in the options.

Hmmm...whould I assume by the word "probably" that this isn't a real clear/easy thing to do? I'd have assumed stuff like this would all be toggle-choices in admin prefs. Sorry, I don't know what "switch in the options" means (I'm not a techie). Thanks for replying!

If I recall correctly, this can be done in admin CP options. I saw it when I was setting up mine but i forgot where it is

AdminCP > vBulletin Options > Message Posting and Editing Options > Automatically Quote Post / Thread Title Set to 'Yes'
If you enable this setting, the title field of new posts will be field with the thread or parent post's title, prefixed by 'Re: '. The user can still edit it if they wish. If you disable this setting, the title box will be blank by default.
