Hi,

I have been reading a thread posted here by vishalsachar regarding forum secrecy:

http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=108100

And have a similar question:

We have been trying out a beta of VB and would like to get a licence for it.

As vishalsachar mentioned in their thread, there are too many hackers/troublemakers on the internet and we were wondering how private the information related to a VB licence is. Can someone find out the real name of the VB licence holder or does it just show up as being licenced to the domain name of the VB forum ??

We do not want to attract interest from the huge number of internet hackers/troublemakers because they could get our personal information from our VB licence registration.

Please let us know as this will govern whether we use VB. It would be a shame to use a different forum software as VB does all the things we want it to.

Thanks.

TLD.

License information is only available to Jelsoft employees. We dont distribute this information to any 3rd parties.

Thanks, Scott,

We thought we had a licence, but, after reading the sticky by floris, it looks like we got "dudded". Our host has disabled our site because of this so we need to get it sorted asap.

I'm off to get a proper licence from this site.

How quick will I have the licence if I do it via CCard ?? We'd like to get our site back up and running.

To others: beware of people saying that you are licenced, only get licenced here - we found out the hard way.

If you go via paypal you'll get it within 10 minutes usually.

If its through worldpay it has to be manually confirmed by a member of the sales staff which should mean in the next 5 hours.

Simply question which is slighty off-topic but,

even if you dont have a paypal account and you sign up on the day of purchase will it still only take around 10mins?

At least in Germany, PalPal works immediately. You just need to load money onto your account. The fastest way to do so is using a credit card.
