pb with step 9 in V2...

hi mates, i'm trying to install this damn version on a free hosting service (free and freesurf)

both support .php and php3 extensions.

everything is ok until step 8
when i want ton write my loginn password and email everything works.

then i delete the install1.php file and i try to login...

Error: i cant register, i'm considered as an intruder and not an admin vy the bulletin board...

i've tried with 1.0 lite the problem has been the same except that i could go on the index board page and see that the board had benn created and that i could browse the unique section...

with the 2.0 version when i try to login to the index page i have some weird typos...

could u give me a helpful hand plz?

We need the exact error you recieved or even better a source code of the page with the error. Also, a link to your site would be fine. :)

i've already deleted the install1.php file and when i try to log in with the password and user name i doesnt work

try with:
password: choubix
login: choubix

could you tell me where to change the langage settings plz? at the moment i'm trying to install the 1.1.5 to see ifi have the same problem...

if it works i'll try with the 2.0 :)

same problem with v1.1.5 .... it doesn't recognize me as an administrator after having deleted install.php and installtemplates.php

I tried that. I ran clean install of vB 1.1.5 (upgrade to 1.1.6 asap). You may try to delete install.php and installtemplates.php and login to the control panel as Choubix / choubix (case sensitive). Hope it helps. ;)

I managed to fix it!!!

the host was a mix a php4 and php3... so i tried another one and it finally worked...


but:

i can post, logging, people can register BUT they can post any message...
