View Full Version : Blocking IPs again?

not sure which forum to put this one in, but this one *seems* most appropriate.

Is the vb.com conglomerate (all 3 sites) blocking IPs again, cause it seems y'all are no longer allowing charter communications (or some part of it).

Only way for me to get in is to use a webproxy (so I know its not me or my ISP)

just curious whats up fellas.

There are no IP blocks that I'm aware of.

We haven't had to block IP's since we moved hosts.

Can you Open a command promt and type

tracert vbulletin.com

or if your use linux
traceroute vbulletin.com

and paste back the results, it will better show where your connection is being dropped on the way to the server.

if my ISP would allow that command to function I would love to, but they don't.

no can do. If they allowed it, I would have told you with undue certainty it was on your end, but I can't do that. Sorry. they only allow ping to function.

Yeah we're having some problems at the moment.

TCP sockets aren't cleaning up properly and the host decided that IPBlocks were the thing to do. We've removed them as its definately not an attack. Since i have 20 sockets waiting to finish.

So w're down to Network / OS.

I had this problem yesterday. I had a good tracert, ping, and internet connection, but no vbulletin.com. Changing my external IP fixed it.
