Hi,
i have no telnet acces to the server only webacces.
so i use phpmyadmin to backup and restore the csv date.
I have about 4500 Members. When i want to make a backup
(CSV Data and send) i only get about 2000 Members.

The same Problems i have with the Posts (about 20.000)
i only get a small part of the post when i do csv Data and send.

What is wrong, who can help me.
Thx

I just meant to try another browser like Netscape. What type of connection do you have to the Internet? Is it a dialup? I am just wondering if it disconnects you, or if it is truly not wanting to back up.

Hi,
yes it is a dial up connection (ISDN) but im not disconnected...
Only if the file is big it donīt work. Some Tables working fine. I have realy no idee what is wrong. I still have to use my UBB :(, untill i get fixed this problem

We are stuck with a piss-poor provider we want to move from, and have the same problems. phpmyadmin stops sending (no error, probably script timeout). The provider's support is non-existant so no way asking them doing the dump. :(

Is there a way (via a php-file) to dump the db to my webspace (the db is around 20 MB) so I can download it via ftp?

I am happy about any help because we are stuck at the moment :( We already have a new provider who gives us a dedicated box with telnet-access (root) but I need the old db to complete the move.

Thanks for any help. :)
