I am also having some serious problems with Server Matrix. Everythig has been going fairly well until now.
I requested a RAM upgrade (from 1GB to 2GB) on my SuperSCSI server.
So this morning, they took the server down to perform the upgrade. Well it tursn out that my server only has 2DIMM slots and they dont have any 1GB sticks. So no upgrade....

No big deal, I can wait. But here is where things really go bad. They restarted the server and now only half of my IPs are accessible. The old, original, IPs are still accessible, but the new block of IPs they added about 4 months ago are not. No web, no email, nothing. The sites are working I can SSH into the server and access the accounts, but no traffic from outside can access them via the domain or IP address at all.

I have been dead in the water now for over 6 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I notified them within an hour of it happening and they have, as of yet, been unable to determine what the problem is. Worse, they wont give me an ETA or let me speak directly with the techs working on the problem. I have to keep calling and re-explaining the situation only to wait for the tech to contact the people who know whats going on and relay that info to me.

The last contact on the trouble ticket was almost two hours ago. So all contact is pretty much up to me. One tech mentioned that he was involved in my RAM upgrade (that didnt happen) and that he had to stop another tech from shutting down servers by yanking the power cords out of the back of them. Nothing like boosting my confidence in thier service.

If this is the degree in which they typically address a serious issue, then I will happily pay more elsewhere.

For now, I just want my sites back up....

Call Sales, as for Eric. See if he can help get this resolved.

I think they need a rule here that you may not recomend a service that you have not tried.

I heard the Space Shuttle is fun. :)

A previous host (left them because it was getting too expensive), recommended them. From what I understand, they are having trouble suppling the demand for their servers.

We use Simpli and the support has been nothing less than excellent. They have colocation with Above.net in Cali and when I page tech support I get responses with minutes.
