Hello, I'm new here and was hoping someone could help me.. I browsed the forums here for answers but I don't have much time, so I hope I'm not beating a dead horse by asking this :)
I've been running a phpbb2 forum since March. I have about 116 users, and during the week I average about 15-25 users online from 10am-10pm. The first month I used 16GB out of 50GB bandwidth, and this month I expect to go over that, possibly to about 25GB.
We are having issues with the current software and my members want to pitch in and get vbulletin 3. Is this feasible on a shared server with 50gb max bandwidth? I don't know how much bigger the member list will get, since the board is mainly a spin-off board from another very large board that we don't use anymore. I suspect it will stay about the same... averaging about 25-30gb a month in bandwidth.
Basically my question is, will I be okay with my current shared host, or would using vbulletin require a dedicated server?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Michelle
