I'm designing a style, its got a header and a footer and would you believe 'sides' yeah! - i wanted this throughout my forum

Prooving to be a real swine to have the side graphics, looks like i have to alter the forumhome templetes etc...but then i found the 'generic_shell' templete and thought i'd cracked it....but it did nothing...whats this for? and can i use this or shall i mull my way through the templates altering each one as nessasary?

cheers

Well, you could put the left side in the header and the right side in the footer. It would be a lot easier than manually editing every main page template (forumhome, showthread, etc). Just make sure that you set it up so that the main content is loaded into it's own table or div.

About the GNEREIC_SHELL Template. I'm modifying a forum and wanted to sort of start clean. The GENERIC_SHELL seems to be just what I want, but I'm not sure how to get it to display...

I have altered header and footer, etc. but just wanted to know how to effectively use this template.

Thanks
