"What's Going On" icons

I haven't seen very many samples of alternate icons for the "What's going on" box on the VB3 index page yet. Anyone have some alternate designs to share at all? I'm trying to find something that's not so ... um... MSN-ish yet beyond my own graphics abilities. Using these 4 right now but not overly thrilled with my first attempt.

Thanks Floris. Graphics are a big struggle for me so it's always a challenge. The grey buttons seem pretty dull and boring but if some colour is added to the board they work okay for now.

Nice work cyburbia. Graphics used to be easy for me, but I've lost my creativity and my graphic skills aren't the best in the world, but they get by. I need to make a new skin soon and it is going to be a rough job having so few ideas.

The new ones are just resized and realiased Gnome icons, except for the balloon; that's from some edited clip art. Nothing super-creative, really.

I really like the set you are working on cyburbia. What colour background will they be placed on if you don't mind me asking?

The graphics are intended for a light color background, but there are PSDs that will be included when I release the full set; most have semi-transparent alpha channels.
