When you Buy a new Licence you only get one free year of upgrades, which can be renewed at 30$ per each additional year, provided that you have an owned Licence.

Granted you can run the board Unlimited number of times with Owned Licence. Just wont be able to access newer versions

When you buy a leased or an owned license you only have access to the most recent copys of vBulletin.

Which at the moment is vBulletin 3 Gold and vBulletin 2.3.5.

a leased license allows you to run vBulletin for one year, and at that time either rewnew your lease license, upgrade it to a full, or shut your vB down.

You will be able to download 2.3.5 and 3.0.0 gold. but you can only run one copy.

You cannot download 2.3.0 you can download 2.3.5 which is the latest stable version of vBulletin 2.x serries. or vBulletin 3.0.0

Why downloading 2.3.0? The newest and best version of vb is currently 3.0.0 ("Gold" Version) ^_^
