I took a lot of time researching forum software before deciding to purchase VBulletin. I went with VBulletin at least partially because people on the forum had such good things to say about the support, but at the same time there were many uncencored criticisms of the software there for all to view. That gave me a feeling of trust going into the purchase. I've spent the last few days setting up the software and, of course, I've run across a few stumbling blocks where I needed to send in a support ticket for help. (I think every one of these "problems" could have been resolved with more time digging into documentation, but I really don't have time for that.) In every case I've had a helpful response to my question in a matter of hours, often times in a few minutes. This experience makes me really happy that I chose VBulletin- thanks support guys (and gals)!

I been with vBulletin for 2 years now and with any issue that ever came up, the support team has always been able to fix or help me. I would say that the longest time i had to wait for support was probably 10 minutes. If you are a person that is reading this, vBulletin is the way to go if you want a forum. It has way much better features and mods than other forum that are out there. Before i choose vBulletin as my forum, I was like $160 for a board, and after discussing it with many people and even the support team, I decided to get vBulletin a try, and within less than 2 days I had my own board going. This is the best board you can get on the market now, Dont worry about the $$$ trust me u will want to be a team with vBulletin. I just want to thank vBulletin for being a great partner and friend to me. Thank you vBulletin.

I have owned a vBulletin license for over 3 years, and during that time I have had no problems with the product whatsoever.

I've found the support team and community forums to be second to none - someone is always willing to help solve any issues I may have, no matter how lacking my own technical experience!

In short, Jelsoft are the best!

When starting a site there can be a lot to do and with vBulletin many of the task are done and your schedule seems to seem more flexible. I did however run into problems but they seemed to be just a common mistake and after contacting the support I was amazed to have everything up and running!

I don't think I will ever use another type of software.

This is the best tech support that I have ever had. The support response was very quick and knew exactly what was wrong and what needed to be done to correct the problem. I have tried others and have not found anything that could hold a candle to the tech support here.

3 years in past I use PHPbb as standard forum for my web page and we always have problems with hacking. In that time phpBB was hacked so hard we couldnt save database and then decide to move to some other payed forum solution. After few days of thinking we choose Vbulletin (even he cost 160USD what was big problem to us) and I must say we didn't chose wrong. From that day until today we didn't have not a single problem on forum.

vBulletin is the forum software we've always dreamt of.

At first, we though we're going to pay $160 for just a license to run the software.

In fact, we got more than that, there's very good support, and unlimited addons, styles, modifications, tips from vbulletin.org.

We also got something unexpected, we had some problems with the our server, and the unlimited (external) support from vbulletin and specially eva2000 helped us deal with our problems.

We're very happy with vBulletin!

I must say I was impressed that i could move a phpBB forum to a vBulletin forum with such ease. I sent a support ticket out and Jake Bunce went through the task with me. You went beyond your call of duty Jake! I should of made the move awhile ago.

Hello Everyone!

I've been a vBulletin customer for almost 1.5 years. Both vB software & vB customer care have been amazing so far. But three days ago, vB support proved that they are more than amazing!

We started facing a strange database related problem on our website & I raised a support ticket. After raising the ticket, I logged on to my mail client to check if I had covered all the points while raising the ticket.

I was shocked! vB team had replied to the query in just two ( that is '2' ) minutes! Boy! You guys rock!

No doubt vB engineers have built a great software. Keep up the good work guys!

Although I procrastinated getting the ball rolling with my community at first, when I did finally buckle down to get started, the support was amazing!

I have been editing vBulletin since version 2.0.3
Since that time (about 2001) I've seen vBulletin growing to the best forum software ever.
Personally I use the vBulletin sources to build a website where i need to be sure of a great security. As vBulletin is customizable in many many ways I preffer vBulltin as solid software source.. been trying a lot of them but always returned home.
If you or your company is wondering which software to run for your website i can highly recommend the best of the best only, which is vBulletin! As I had the possibility to freak with the software in many ways a tap on the shoulders of the developers is in place... omg i am so addicted to vbulletin i may need therapy lol.. anyways, perhaps I can call myself the most happy customer of a software source i always wanted. vbulletin makes dreams come true! thank you vBulletin! thank you for existing, the great support, the friendly staff and the wonderful ability to developing vBulletin to the most awesome software ever existed

I have to say that our migration from another forum software to vBulletin has been an interesting and quite frankly unique experience. All thanks to the amazing support staff here at Jelsoft. I have medium php and mysql skills, so the technical part wasn't such a big issue. However, we did encounter some payment issues with PayPal that were resolved faster than I have anticipated and Jelsoft was there for us every step of the way. I would like to thank Steve Machol for his professionalism and the amazing support provided. vBulletin's power, reliability and outstanding features are only surpassed by the incredible and one of a kind support offered by Jelsoft's personnel.

vBulletin was a great move, for myself and my members. It was very easy to import my existing SMF database to vBulletin. There is also TONS of Themes and Mod (Modifications) for it, too! Now I know why vBulletin is called "Instant Community".

I recently submitted a support ticket for our forums and the problem turned out to be my fault, simply because I did not reinstall a mod correctly after a forum upgrade.

Wayne Luke spent a lot of time looking into what could be the problem and was very polite and helpful in figuring out what it was.

I would like to commend him on his effort all the while being nice to a customer he likely knew was the one who caused this issue.

Before vBulletin, my site was running off of html templates and an integrated InvisonFree forum. We had no pagerank, nor did we have an Alexa rank.

In January of this year, we upgraded to vBulletin and now we're riding on Cloud 9. Over 2500 members, 70,000 posts, Pagerank 4 and we're about to break into the top 100,000 of Alexa.

I have been using this for about 6 months now (legally). Did use a nulled copy before! (shh) I have also used many other BB software and well vBulletin is by far the BEST out ther. It is the most customizable and expandable. It is also extremely user friendly and doesnt play games with you like IPB.

I am a new admin/site founder and went with the VBulletin software because of the good things I'd read about the tech support. A week after my site has been open, I've run into some fairly minor issues that I just couldn't fix myself. I finally submitted a ticket for tech support and listed all of my problems. It was getting late in the evening and I was hoping for an answer by the next day. Within 17 minutes, tech support had fixed some of the problems themselves and gave me the answers to the other problems. 17 minutes! That's unheard of! I am very happy with VBulletin and extremely happy with the customer service.

I must admit the price of vBulletin put me off at first $160 for a licence, which was quite abit when you can get a number of free forums, but none of them offer the quality vbulletin brings, all the 'quality / popular' forums use vbulletin, as its the most user friendly forum IMO.

Vbulletin has the best, most patient support team I have even encountered. Before I bought V-bulletin, I didn't have much experience with setting up forums. When I asked for help, Steve Machol responded about 3 minutes later and told me exactly what to do. And don't get me started with features :). Vbullletin has all the features anyone would ever look for in a forum, plus thoasands of optional plugins. It's the best forum software on the web. :)

I am new to vBulletin (about 3 weeks now). I get a little frustrated trying to learn a new program.....BUT I have to tell you....the support staff here at vBulletin has to be the best I have ever dealt with. I am so amazed even at 11:30 pm my time (east coast) they are there to help....They are always no more then 10 minutes away from a reply to any question I might have....picking a program for a forum really is the easy part....look at the features and decided your needs.....but most never look to what type of support system is included with the program....until they need it....and most of the time once the purchase is made....support puts you on the back burner....NOT SO with vBulletin.....they hand hold the customer as long as the customer needs them....This program is the best money I have ever spent on a program....
You are #1 for program support in my book...

vBulletin is one of those products available that not only is fully customisable, but also includes some great support offered by a great bunch of support staff who go to the greatest lengths to help you.

Since purchasing vB, I've had no regrets in using the software and have made my website not only a forum, but a great site courtesy of the vB team.

vBulletin is such a wonderful software. Buying it has been the best upgrade in my entire site's history. The security is great. (No exploits) It has such a professional look as well. It will make your site look like a well quality site to stay at. I have thousands of members and they all customize their the forum to meet their preferences.
Another thing i would really like to point out is the service is great. The staff response time is generally extremely fast. Questions are answered and problems are fixed.

For the most part I have used phpBB, although there were some others thrown in there for good measure; though I for the life of me cannot remember the names. :o)

However, for the last 2 years I had used phpBB exclusively and was very versed in it as well as coding in PHP (learning PHP solely from having to hack phpBB to do what I wanted). I had looked at vBulletin several times in the past as a replacement but never found the need or want to buy it, especially when similar (and I use that term loosely) ones existed for free via GNU.

Sometime early Dec, 2006 I decided to bite the bullet and purchase vBulletin after several demos and countless hours reading the forums at vbulletin.com and vbulletin.org. I have to say without a doubt that I should have done this a lot sooner! vBulletin surpasses anything like it on the web today, free or not. It is feature rich, well documented, easy to setup, run, and maintain. As an administrator I am happy I made the decision to switch.

I may not run the biggest or most visited site on the internet; but my members are happy and pleased, just as I am, with the decision to switch.

So from a recently new customer, thank you for your outstanding product, I foresee myself being a customer for a long time to come!

Over the years your team has consistently been patient and adaptable to my needs to address almost every imaginable issue I could encounter. Years ago I questioned whether or not I should pay for boards or just get free ones for my users. I went with vBulletin then just to see how things went, and I have never regretted it.

Vbulletin is by far the best forum software you can get. I am in the process of building my website (taking me a long time), and I chose Vbulletin for my forum software. I have known it was powerful software for a long time, however their support is legendary. The support staff are friendly, helpful, and are extremely quick. I also have noticed that you can do much more with Vbulletin than most forum systems because the Admin CP is extremely powerful, and it lets you do a lot of stuff. I have used many types of forum software for countless game sites and projects. Vbulletin is by far the best I have used. The price is worth the benefits.

I run vBulletin on a couple of sites for my clients.

It is rock solid and always works... I love it.

Over a year ago when I tried to convert one of my client's discussion groups from Yahoo to Vbulletin I had absolutely no luck in doing it by myself.

In fact, the project sat on the shelf and they continued using Yahoo Groups for over a year before both my client and myself couldn't stand it anymore and decided that no matter what, we were going to get this data (dating from 2000) converted into Vbulletin.

Just last week I contacted the vBulletin team and asked if they could help getting this done as ImpEx didn't appear to be working as specified.

Both Kerry-Anne and Jerry were EXTREMELY helpful in getting this data recovered. Without their help, it would not have been done.

My thanks goes out to both of them for their persistence and dedication to providing customer support far beyond the norm.

The help and support that the guys at vBulletin give is absolutely superb, in particular Steve.

Any problems that I have had have been sorted within hours and it normally turns out to be a problem that I have 'created' myself not a problem vBulletin.

To put it simply..... vBulletin and the support is THE best.

Martin Erwin at vBulletin support was great today. I panicked because I am rolling our neighborhood forum out this week. We had an immediate issue with water quality that I was able to post about on our new forum. Unfortunately for a few minutes this afternoon response time was terrible. I sent a support ticket to FutureQuest and vBulletin. I got immediate responses from both companies.

Turns out there was a DNS issue which should have taken seconds to update. It took minutes and my new forum happened to be active during that time. It was just a few minutes later that the problem got resolved.

I'd like to say that I am very happy with the response time of both companies and I love your software.

The support I received from Steve Machol of vBulletin is quite literally second to none. I am left stunned by his dedication to going "above the call of duty".

We had a serious security issue which affected the performance of our board. Steve jumped in and assisted us in a professional, competent, efficient manner which both solved the immediate problem and provided us guidance to prevent similar issues in the future.

Anyone considering investing in the vBulletin product should know that the service level received after the sale is superb. I've not been this satisfied with a software product and it's support team in years.

My most sincere appreciation to vBulletin for an excellent product, and to Steve for his heroic efforts.

As a previous user of a popular but resource intensive free forum package, I can say VB is the best out there. I was skeptical at first about paying for forum software, but as the old adage goes, you get what you pay for. Without upgrading hardware my server is capable of handling many times the user load that the old package choked under - we used to bind up at 50 users, I've seen 300 at a time under VB and my server barely breaks a sweat. It has also dramatically reduced the load on my T1, thereby also increasing the capacity we can handle by a significant amount. The couple times I have had support questions, the VB team has been great with that as well.

If you are considering a purchase to VB, do it! The money I save on server upgrades and bandwidth alone means VB has paid for itself, and the reliability and ease of mind of having a professionally-supported package is icing on the cake. My users are also quite thankful, as they now have a site that stays up and is always fast.

This software is straight forward, easy to use and easy to set up. However every once in awhile you may need a bit of expert advice, like I did. I would like to say that Steve Machol does an outstanding job in customer support. The responses come at lightning speed and are written so even a non computer expert like me can understand.

I will start off by telling you you've made a great decision today to come and purchase a vBulletin license for a plethora of reasons, but mainly because of the excellent software, superior support and friendly staff, as well as a friendly community and a huge skin and modification database, a lot of security, as well as a very nice, comprehensive feature set. All-in-all, the vBulletin Owned License definitely pays itself off in the end and is worth the cost, no question. I have two of them and am a very happy customer with vBulletin.

I definitely recommend you look into purchasing the vBulletin Owned License, and if/when you do, you won't regret it.

Technology Questions (http://www.tabletquestions.com) has been online since 2002. For a short while, the site was using community server, however, the discussions stopped and the vbulletin software was reinstalled. This morning, the server was very slow and so I rebooted. Upon reboot, I decided to reindex to see if this would work. The server failed and upon rebooting the site did not load. In reviewing messages, the post.MYI file was corrupt. Steve was fantastic at helping resolve this issue. The main challenge was someone walking me through the steps as well as helping to interpret the meaning of different error messages (err 144, etc), walking through command line switches, etc. The site would probably still be down if Steve had not helped.

I purchased VBulletin yesterday and I have it up and running today.

The product works extremely well and is very full featured.

The installation script worked flawlessly, which is a rarity today.

Overall, I think the product is an excellent value and I am more than impressed with the work that went into the design.

I highly recommend this software to anyone looking to bring a high quality forum online!!
